![]() (The book includes a 50% off coupon for their video training.)Īnother option is John Mark Osborne’s video training - he’s a great instructor and his package is cheaper but probably less comprehensive - Ī third option is to get the book Learn FileMaker Pro by Mark Conway Munro - he has a Facebook group and is very generous in answering questions. You can get a free pdf copy of the book if you agree to a short phone call with one of his developers. The book has lots of really good info, but it is not really designed for absolute beginners. He also has a very good book (FileMaker Manual for Novices 2021) although I’d recommend you read that AFTER you learn the basics. there’s an option that includes an FMP license. He sells a subscription for $199 per year but I believe you could cancel after one year. Richard Carlton’s training videos explain the basics very clearly. My question is not necessarily how to do all these things but what the best resources are to start learning how to make this myself? I have very minimal coding knowledge but I do learn this type of stuff very quickly and I’m good with the type of programming we currently have to do to make even our current CRM’s work properly. ![]() For the time being I’m hoping to be able to learn how to make just a basic software that could probably start out calculating and/or running payroll and a couple other small tasks that were currently doing through sheets. Obviously that’s a pretty long list and will take quite awhile to make something that advanced but eventually I’d like to be able to do all of that. There is a plethora of them but I have yet to find one that does exactly what I want with invoicing, sales friendly estimate templates, employee tracking, customer tracking, texts and possibly phone calls and running payroll. I’m a contractor who is currently at the mercy of the top basic or incredibly advanced CRM’s that are offered to us currently. ![]()
